Dr. Susan Marriott to present at the Pediatrician-Scientist Training & Development Program at TXCH- November - 2018

Returning to Texas Children's Hospital, Dr. Susan Marriott will instruct PL-2 inters in a two-part series. Day 1 will focus on writing strategies and specific guidelines for successful grant writing. This workshop will be held on Friday, November 16th, 2018. Day 2 of the series is designed for a more personal approach, as each participant will have one on one time for biosketch development and Q&A time for specific needs. We are proud to be presenting a two-day workshop for the Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (CDC) this October! She will instructor PL-1 interns the basic and essential components for writing case reports. This course will help PL-1 interns manage time, structure, content and strategies. President, Dr. Marriott to present a Writing Effective Scientific Manuscript at Texas Children's Hospital- September 2018

This half-day presentation will focus on writing Effective Scientific Manuscripts and will take place September 18, 2018. Publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts is a critical step in the scientific process, so understanding what editors want to publish is essential for scientists at all career stages. To make the writing and publishing process transparent and efficient, first workshop participants will learn the critical components of a clearly written manuscript and how to strategically structure each manuscript section. Then, participants will be guided through the entire publication process, from clicking "submit" to responding to reviewers.
